Hi! I'm Cliff Allison, and I've owned and operated Cochise Motorsports since 1979.
When I first took over the business, it was called Cochise Yamaha and it was located in an unheated, uncooled 1000 square foot warehouse on the Highway 92 bypass. As the name suggests, we were exclusively a Yamaha dealer. Well, things have sure changed since then!
In 1983 we moved locations to Wilcox Drive. At the time, the shop’s total area was 4000 square feet. A 4X improvement over the warehouse! Plus it had heating and cooling - a real step up. In 1986, we expanded again, growing to 6500 square feet through the addition of additional showroom space.
In 1989, we added a new warehouse, increasing our available space to 9000 square feet, and increasing our ability to have more of a variety of stock on hand for our customers.
Then, in 1993, we made a big move and added Honda to our dealership. This significantly increased our selection of vehicles and our ability to satisfy our customers’ needs. We changed our name from Cochise Yamaha to Cochise Motorsports, reflecting our new diversity. We now have an expansive parts and accessories department.
In the spring of 2002, with the construction of a new addition to the building, our available space was increased to over 16,000 square feet. We increased space in all areas, especially in the service department and on the sales floor.
In 2009 we added Polaris and Victory to our line of motorcycles, ATVs and Side by Sides. We now are able to offer a diversity of vehicles for our customers.
Our newest greatest accomplishment is our brand new building at our new location. At the end of April 2011 we opened at our new location at 1100 Avenida Cochise, at the corner Buffalo Soldier Trail in Sierra Vista, AZ. Just 90 minutes south of Tucson. We have increased space in every area with a large customer waiting area upstairs in the mezzanine.
For more than 35 years our focus has been to provide you with the best choices in motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, generators, and parts and accessories. From the moment you walk in our front door you are part of our family and we will work energetically with you to identify or solve your powersport needs.
